Independence Day 2013

The Daggetts take the Fourth of July very seriously! Approximately 100 friends and family gather at the lake to celebrate the birthday of America. We sing patriotic songs, someone recites a portion of the Declaration of Independence, we honor veterans and bring out our playful/competitive sides with the Kayak Races. It was a beautiful day to hang with family.

Thomas having a little snack before heading to the big party. I personally think this should be used as an advertisement for Barrel O' Fun.

He is such a good sharer. Nora seems to be bummed about not getting any chips.

Lauren Ann, Tanya (she found the baby, again!) and Rylee Beth!

The kids were everywhere! Looks like they're preparing for the Yak races.

Thomas and Auntie Hannah. Hannah was able to make a quick appearance at the party before heading to work.

Lover Lover.

Thomas loves Diego the Dog.

Stinker Butt taking a little break in the hammock.

Proud to be an American.

Grandpa and Tommy John.

Ann and Pete.

The newly weds, Rob and T-JO.

On to the Yak races. This picture captures the more playful moment of this race even though this was probably the most competitive division. And the winner is...Drew Daggett.

The winner of the Northern division...Freddie.

Grandpa F and Thomas playing in the cold, wet, heavy sand. Talk about a good sensory activity! ;)

Who wore it better?! You don't need to answer. ;) Juliet (4 months) and Nora showed up in the same outfit. So cute.

Thomas had so much fun playing in the water.

He must have jumped/fell in 50 times...so cute.

So little compared to his Juliet.

Me and my best God daughter, Lily! Check out those big beautiful eyes.

Thanks to Dave and Roxann for hosting another wonderful 4th of July celebration.
God Bless America!

Tuott Wedding

We began our 10 day vacation at home with the wedding of Mike and Erin, Erik's cousin. It was a beautiful, intimate, outdoor wedding. They could not have asked for a more beautiful day.

Peter helped keep Thomas quiet during the wedding. I think they found the park. :)

Stephanie did a great job with her reading during the ceremony.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Tuott!

Auntie Kristi and Uncle Steve.

Thomas and Auntie Stephanie.

Thomas kept saying, "more!"

Dennis and Rosie with their four children. :)

Great Grandma Rosie with Nora.

Best Buds.

Love him!

Four generations. John, Dennis, Thomas and Erik. Thomas has so much to learn from these men.

Tearin' it up on the dance floor!

Ryan and Luz didn't miss a dance.

Stephanie caught the bouquet, Peter snagged the garter!

Welcome to your new year, Erik!

The night before Erik's 27th birthday his parents hosted a fun fish fry with friends and family. The gathering was such a fun way to celebrate Erik's special day. Thanks to John and LaRaye for their warm hospitality and good cookin'.

No birthday party is complete without cake! So nice of the birthday boy to share with his best boy!

Guy time on the deck!

Gals (and Peter) gather in the kitchen!

Drew and Erik.

 Mike and Grant.

Grandpa John and Thomas on the motorcycle! Thomas is super into "driving."

Time for a gift! He is all set for his upcoming camping trip!

Dan and his beautiful daughter, Jenika!

The newly engaged, Kylie and Mike! So glad Mike snagged Kylie, she is a great addition to our group of friends.

Grandpa and Thomas "driving" the four-wheeler! I am so happy to see Thomas enjoying the four-wheeler because the weekend prior he was afraid of it.

After the birthday party we stopped by a classmate's farm to check out his animals! Thomas was in heaven! He loves cows but the Bobcat was pretty cool too.

The farm was also home to sheep and goats...

and horses!

It was a great stop to make because we had a mini class reunion. Andy on the far left owns the farm, Matt boards his horses at Andy's farm, Mike and Erik, and then Scotty who is battling cancer. So nice to see these guys, only two more years until our real (10 year) reunion! Crazy!!

Erik's actual birthday was the day of Nora's baptism. His day of birth may have been slightly over shadowed by the Baptism festivities but we did sing and have a special dessert in honor of his new year!

Erik, Welcome to your new year! Thomas, Nora and I love you beyond measure. We want to help make all your birthday wishes come true!
