Nora: Four Months Old

Happy Four Month Birthday, Nora Mae!

Eat: Nora is a hungry hippo. She eats about 5oz six times a day. She shows interest in our food and has great head and neck control so we'll soon try cereal. Bring on the messes!

Sleep: Nora is still a great sleeper. She had a rough patch and woke up twice a night for about a week but luckily that has passed. She has been going to bed around 9:00, eats around 3 AM and wakes for the day between 7-8:00. She usually takes two big naps and two short naps.

Play: Her toes are great entertainment. She has a few favorite toys and still loves her play mat. She does great in the Bumbo but only for a few minutes.

Measurements: Baby girl is in the 100th percentile for length at 26.5 inches. Her solid 14lb 14oz put her in the 62nd percentile for weight.

Brother: Thomas seems to fall more in love every day. He gets excited when she wakes from a nap, and is so happy to see her in the morning. She gets lots of hugs and kisses. He still has moments when he doesn't use his most gentle touches. I know he'll grow out of this phase but until then, he is under close supervision around Nora.

Daddy: "I can see that Nora feels so proud when she stands up so tall.  Elise and I are still debating whether she has a tooth coming in or not.  I can't see it, but I can feel a little guy poking through on the top...and she drools like a Pavlov dog."

Mama: When I pick Nora up from a nap or in the night she always has the biggest smile. Her chubby cheeks and dimples melt my heart. I love both kids so much and seeing how much Thomas enjoys his sister makes me love the both of them even more. I am so glad they have each other. Someday I look forward to giving Nora the opportunity to be a big sister.
